A Volume Problem of W shaped sections

I am using M_W Shapes-Cloumn W250X73 for a 100 cm length structural column.

Revit calculated its volumes. Two values were obtained as shown below.

It seems that Material: Volume is associated with fillet radius considered while Volume is not. For both of them, the sectional areas can be easily calculated by Volume/100.

To check calculated volume of a column, the corresponding sectional area were measured by Autocad. The Autocad area measurement of the W shape without fillet radius is exactly the same with the calculated result of revit, which are both 91.62784 cm2. But the measured area value of Autocad (93.01236 cm2) and calculated result of revit (93.01572 cm2) exists a small difference for W shape with fillet radius.

Is this a bug of Revit or some unknown algorithm?

Any ideas would be appreciated.

hi @rcsoul

I guess you have to create a custom parameter in the schedule that multiplies the length to corresponding mass (kg/m) in the table.

as per standards.

Because the family has two geometry, one for Medium, one for Fine. Looks like the Material volume reporting the Fine geometry and the Volume reporting the Medium geometry. You could edit the family and get rid of the one geometry you deem incorrect and set the other one to be visible for both Medium and Fine.
