View Title error The References of the highlighted Dimension are no longer paral

Hello,

The scale of one view title is wrong so I'm trying to fix it, as shown bellow in image 1 (the scale should be 3/16" instead of 1/8")

Image 1.png

When I open the view title family, there is the scale, and there is one for each scale I can choose. (Image 2)

When I go to scale 3/16" and try to change it to the Graphic_Scale 3/16" I get the error shown bellow in image 3. Because of the Graphic Scale Offset Distance.

Here is the plan I choose when creating the new constraint.

If you have any idea I would really appreciate.

Thanks!

The screenshots do not help enough we would have to look at the relevant files to see what is going on.

So if you could upload something so that we can replicate the error., we can see what is going on and try to solve it.

Hi, thanks for your response.

Here are the three files.

Graphic Scales

Graphic Scale 072 (the one that I created)

I attached a modified view title. For me it seems to work now.

I have no particular explanation what causes the issue I did different things when it seems to start working.

-I usually set parameters in families constrained to reference lines and planes not directly to geometry.

-I dropped your graphics scale 72 from the family.

-I took one of your existing scales, renamed it back to 72 dumped the content and build it like the 3/16"

-Loaded it back into the Graphics Scales family and hooked up the parameters

-Loaded back in the view title family and it seems to work

So something in that family Revit did not like.

Running into these issues it might also help to further constrain the content of the families
