Is it possible to change the transparency of a loaded pdf while placed on a floorplan?

I seem to be unable to find any solutions on this subject. The transparency setting for Raster images in model categories is greyed out.

One workaround would be to export the pdf as .png and use the image file instead of the PDF in revit but i don't think this is right.

Linked/Imported PDFs are brought in as raster images and images do not currently have transparency options available. The typical workaround is to set your view to wireframe and send the PDF/Image to the background so you can see the PDF/Image through the model elements.

If you would like PDF transparency functionality be sure to vote for the idea on the Revit Ideas page:
