Good morning everyone! We are looking into getting a total station and we have been given demos from both Trimble and Hilti. They both seem good, and similar ways. The Trimble one sounds like it works better with Revit, whereas the Hilti one sounds like we have to export Revit drawings as dwg's. On the flip side the Hilti total station seems like it is more user friendly for people working on the jobsite, and simplified for someone that doesn't have any AutoCAD or Revit experience, whereas the Trimble station sounds like the field user almost needs some basis or background in CAD or Revit. The menus sound simpler with the Hilti then they do with the Trimble.
Does anyone have any opinions on one vs the other? Any links to share that can help compare? Any experience with one or the other? or any info on how they both work with Revit?
Thank you in advance for any input and feedback!
Revit lives in the land of perfect and doesn't understand what construction is.
