Strange mistake

Hello dear colleagues.I watched youtube and repeated for video and have mistake:"Revit was unable to find a matching Pipe Segment in Piping Types: Sewer. Check the "Pipe Types: Sewer" routing settings."How can i fix this?

Hi there!

In your Project Browser (on the bottom-left of your screen in Revit), scroll down to the Families section,  expand it and go to Pipes -> Pipe Types. Based on the warning you got, you might be missing "Sewer" as one of the types in here. The easiest way to create this is to duplicate one of the existing pipe types you have in this section, rename it to Sewer, and modify the properties to what you want it to be. Its not a strange mistake - this question comes up every couple of weeks and there are several posts which explain how to solve the issue.

Its not the Sewer pipe type which is missing.

The error is telling you "Check the "Pipe Types: Sewer" routing settings".

Your pipe type does not have the correct fittings in the pipe routing options.

Pick the pipe type "Sewer" from the project browser, right click on it > edit type > routing preferences

Or you can get to the same place by selecting one of the pipes in the view and then Edit Type

Make sure that you have valid fitting types listed in the preferences and that the applicable size range is activated.

You might still get the error though when connecting to equipment/appliances if there's maybe an unusual connection size but usually Revit will try to still make the connection using generic fittings.
