Strange Element Appearing Out of Railing Bends

I have been holding this off for a while in the hope that is was just my Revit that had a temporary bug, but after a few days of going into my project the same issue is still visible.

There seems to be a strange shape that appears and sticks out from the bends at the tops of railings. This is only visible in 3D views (all visual styles) and only visible at certain angles, it also appears when I render. This leads me to believe that it is in fact a solid face which somehow corrupts at the bends of the top rail.

I have attached an image of the problem.

I don't even have a clue where I might start to sort this or if anyone has even come across this issue before. I may just be the way I created the railing but I didn't do anything out of the ordinary (I don't think!)

I am using Revit 2015. I'd appreciate the help.

Could be that it is a model artifact. But might also be graphics (card) issue. Try to switch off hardware acceleration (in options menu) or look for graphics card driver updates. In general check for updates (WIndows, Revit etc).

Check if it is also visible on other computers.

Also try to recreatel that part of the railing.
