I've been asked if I could make a staircase chandelier that would look similar to the images below. Has anyone seen this kind of family created for Revit before? I keep trying to think how to go about it. Would something like this be easier in a different program to model this and import into a Revit family?

Thanks for you time and ideas!

You should ask the RVT Arch forum... may get more hits over there.

WOW.... you can make somthing representative, not functional would be another story.  I would do somthing like that in post production or in a program more geared swords those kind of graphics like 3DS or Maya or somthing along those lines.

@s.borello, I'll check that forum out, thanks!

@hmunsell Thanks! A coworker had also suggested that. I guess I was just trying to if anyone else had made something like this within Revit. I'll check those out.

Thank you for your responses!

could be done in the family creator, or even using dynamo and an adaptive component.

Thank you for your responses!

I was able to create it using the family editor with extrusions and void sweeps. A coworker of mine was able to create it within the family editor and a dynamo script I found online.

Here is a link to a video of the Dynamo script we used https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7QRdJ9Qwhs
