similar Assembly or group or family?

All:

i have many typical modules,

if i use Assembly method, when one type updated , others would't update at the same time.

and it will create a new type name.

if i use Group way, can it be taged and be scheduled , i am wondering .

if i use family , it will bring the model big and slow.

any idea?

thanks in advance.

Hi @Anonymous ,

You're right that Assemblies will not propagate changes.

I'm not sure what you mean by families making the model big and slow. Families typically have the opposite effect as there's just one copy of the content and the components placed in the project are lightweight. However a family component is a single element, and you won't be able to tag or schedule parts of it.

If you put your elements in groups, the changes will propagate to other group instances, and the elements can be tagged and scheduled.

So it seems groups is the way to go.
