Selecting insulation of ducts

Hello,

how can i select only insulation of ducts? I have only Insultaion in the view but i cannot select. So i cannot give comments or contruction stage at the insulation...

Hello @marco.defina,

Unfortunately, you can't select the Duct Insulation. It is part of the Duct or Duct Fittings.

If you give comments or construction stage to the Ducts you can create a Duct schedule with the insulation parameters Insulation Type and Insulation Thickness. 

Then filter by comments or construction stage.

If you want to calculate the Insulation Area than just add a calculated value in your schedule.

Another way i tried is to modify the insulation of selected ducts and give the right construction stage...

This for me is important because can happens that the insultation will be posed in another construction from the ducts...

I have experienced the same issue where I was unable to select just the duct insulation.

I have used Ideate Explorer which lets you easily select the insulation. Once I have them selected, I can make changes as I would normally do in Revit.
