Schedules not updating on sheets

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have a schedule on a sheet that occasionally will not update.  The schedule itself updates but not the view on the sheet.  I have to remove the schedule from the sheet and put it back in to get it to show the current status of the schedule.  I have seen this on old threads but nothing in 2019.  Has anyone had this issue and might know the fix?  Thanks

Yeah i know, its just frustration, not meant the jab for the community, indeed its misplaced here.

I was lucky yesterday as i noticed the issue of not updating the schedule on the print. Still at end of day, printing the batch again, then finding out its been an issue for 10+ versions is disheartening.

Still an issue in RLT 2025.

Delete undo, cut paste, moving are not working.

Deleting and putting back works.

But should be fixed.

The problematic schedule has also another problem. When I uncheck "Blank row before data" it deletes also the first row. I am writing this because it may be helpful during debugging to narrow the problem.

ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS AND EMBARRASING FOR AUTODESK!!

C'mon Autodesk, can someone employed there please reply to this thread and let us know that they are at least aware of this inexcusable bug?!

One of the 'benefits' of Revit is it's database enabling us to 'quickly and accurately' extract information from the model and utilise this for quantities, etc.

Unfortunately, my pessimism says that Autodesk are aware of this bug and have known about it since 2009 butsince not enough raise it, it's not worth spending money on, nor do I fear that these forums are not really perused by them...so I'll have a look and see where else we can raise this.

Except for schedules. Sometimes. and maybe other things....

For me, the schedule sometimes doesn't update on the sheet. But re-opening the sheet (or re-opening the project) usually updates it. Sometimes moving the schedule by a mm on the sheet helps.

This is still an issue in Revit25. Not holding my breath for Autodesk to update this as they still have issues that are 10+ years old yet to be addressed

Sadly, we literally lost a multi-million ££ project bid a couple of years ago due to this data being incorrect...and our lesson learned is simply not to trust the information exported from Revit. We now run good old manual excel spreadsheets side-by-side checking the automatic one double up the work...LoL should be the other way around, no?

Can't believe that's acceptable by Autodesk - I would have thought they would set their own standards at a higher level than just running a cash cow software business.

Boy oh boy.... that is a real shame.  Our experience has been localised to a number of incorrect grilles but I sure hope somebody @autodesk is reading this.  This is a VERY REAL issue that could simply be resolved by a "refresh" trigger when printing.  This might be a question to raise with RTV Tools or DiRoots Prosheets (amongst others) to see if they could provide a solution.  Autodesk either don't care about this problem or are too slow at solving it.

This is costing us $$ - i have wasted hours of our time sorting these faulty schedules out. Autodesk needs to fix this ASAP.

pwoodM9SJL- mentioned this as well.

With the keyboard arrows- Nudge the schedule up, nudge back down. I found this to update / "regenerate" the schedule.

That's of course if you actually knew the data had not refreshed 🙂But yes that's our "workaround"

I have raised this with autodesk support but I have been told that they "cannot replicate" this issue.
