Schedule template (not panelboards)

I have a file with my standard schedules (lighting fixtures, mechanical equipment, etc.). I 'Load from File' to get these into my project. All of these schedules have a standard template applied so that they all look the same.

In Revit 2024, when I load them, the template also loads.

However, in Revit 2026, the template does not load. So I have to remake the template everytime.

What I am missing, or did Autodesk remove this feature?

You're not crazy. Copying views in 2024 also copies the view template, whether using the clipboard or the insert from file button. In 2026 the copied view template is always reset to none. No idea why they would make that change.

I'm not having any trouble with it.   I can use "Insert from file" and it seems to copy the schedule and the template (with the template applied).

I can also open the file with the schedule, select the schedule in the project browser, cntrl-C, and then select schedules in the destination file, and cntrl-V to just copy and paste the schedule.  Again it seems to bring the template along with it.

All else fails, try the "Transfer Project Standards" and select view templates to transfer.  That also worked for me, although you might have to reapply the template to the schedule.

The issue both of those solutions is that I have to open the file with schedules. What would the purpose of  Insert from File be?

To not have to remake a template every time which is exactly what you said you have to do.
