REVIT LINK POSITION

Hi everyone,

I want to ask if there is any method to know the link positioning before inserting it in Revit, such as origin to origin or center to center, Base point to base point ...etc.

Yes.

You can also use a shared coordinate system so that all links use the same coordinates.

I don't mean it. What I meant is, if I want to know which architectural point was used when starting work in the model?

You can turn on the origin visibility for the link and your model and see if they align or not.

There are three origins in each file:

• internal origin
• project base point
• survey point.

It doesn't matter. Insert it auto center to center, move to align with your model, and acquire coordinates.
