Is there a method or visibility adjustment for the legend to show only the floor plan symbol and not the symbol and the 3d element on the legend in Revit.  See attached example legend, which shows the 3d element along with the symbol.  We would like only the symbol to show on the legend and not the 3d back box and the symbol.

We do this as well, annotation symbols set to show on medium view only and the 3d geometry on on fine view only (except for objects we want to see on site plans and other coarse views).

If this is about creating symbol legends for use on sheets - have you considered handling this using basic schedules and the TYPE IMAGE parameter? There is a conversation about this going on right now...

This works for receptacles but for no good reason, it does not work for the lighting switches family. I am not sure why.

What I did was created a duplicate family of switches and deleted the 3d components from it, and used this for the legend only.
