Hi guys,
Can anybody share any insight into how Trane Trace deals with architectural model updates? My "ideal (without any experience doing this)" workflow for Revit & Trane Trace is:
- Export gbxml spaces from Revit
- Import gbxml to Trane
- Create systems, run heating/cooling loads in Trane
- Export gbxml from Trane
- Import gbxml to Revit
*Architect provides a new model with 1 billion changes*
- Export gbxml spaces from Revit
- Import gbxml into same Trane Trace file created initally
....
I'm not sure what happens from here. If i initially "cleaned up" the spaces in Trane Trace (deleted 1" walls, window geometry, roof areas, etc) and added them to zones, plants, etc. would this new gbxml import override the information that I have already manually cleaned up? And does Trane Trace create a "link" between the Revit space name and number?
Any help, or discussion at all is extremely appreciated!
Thanks,
Dave
