Revit Family Select New Face Not Working

I am using Schneider Electric's "Layout Fast" add on for Revit. You select the electrical panel you want and it insert it on plan like a native Revit MEP electrical panel.

It appears as though the family is setup from a view that it should not be. Please see screen shots below. When I try to place the existing panel on a new wall using the "Pick New [Face]" command it displays the panel in the completely wrong orientation.

How do I correct this in the family definition? Help me understand what the cause of this issue is and If I can fix this. Typically I place my panels from a top-down floor-plan view. But the way these are setup you can only place them in a 3D view if you have a good angle facing the wall.
I realize these questions are broad. Please help me understand.

I am attaching the Revit family below.

You should probably be asking the source of the add-on for the proper way to use it first. The family may be designed that way purposely.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

I'm not familiar with this add-on but I'm curious if hitting the space bar after you select new host does anything to the panel; similarly to a native RVT family?

I tested your family in RVT 2021 and it works as expected; I did need to hit vertical face to get it to host in a plan view, spacebar will rotate as expected.  In a 3D view, place on face works.

That's interesting. Thank you for trying in 2021. Wonder what the issue is then. - Yes space bar just rotates but again is at the wrong orientation.

Try one of these two ways:

Go to edit family and then to upper left corner ''family category and parameters'' the parameter ''always vertical'' should be inactive  and then save changes and load the family again in the model.

If that didn't work then try to place your component on a seperate ''reference plane'' then you have the ability to rotate your new ref.plane as you want

If this helped please mark it as a solution.
