Revit Family new errors on previously accepted parameter formulas

We build HVAC systems, and to speed up making a material take off through schedules, I'm trying to add a shared parameter to all ducts and fittings, giving them a description on what they are (the family and type names are impractical with all the BIM info that is stashed there).

When opening a fitting family, made by a 3rd party (in a revit version years ago, I guess 2015), and trying to add a parameter, triggers an error in a different parameter, resulting in cancelation of adding the parameter. Revit states that the formula should start with an = symbol (which it should not, cause this is build in to the formula field). Adding this = symbol, triggers an "unexpected = symbol" error. Trying to remove the formula all together triggers even other errors.

Does someone have a clue whats going on, and how I can fix / work around these errors?

In the video I tried to show all the errors.

Edit: I can't even delete the parameter, it gives the same error: Invalit input for sg: Enter a value or a formula starting with "=".

Thanks for your time!

Working in Revit 2023.1

23.1.50.23
20240709_1030(x64)
2023.1.5

kind regards

As requested, the family attached.

I think it must be a bug. To test some stuff with inconsistent units, I created a blank family, using "Metric Generic Model.rfa" as a template.

To summarize what you're looking at in the video bellow:
I created a bunch of type parameters called "testa", "testb" and so on. These parameters are different types, to eventually calculate the airspeed in a duct given an area and air flow.
After succeeding in this, I tried to start on calculating the weight of the duct. After adding a parameter with the type "Mass density", the error already pops up, even without interacting with it what so ever!
Can someone confirm of this is a bug? I can't find anything on it elsewhere.

Solution found..

I tested the problem in R22, R24, and R25, where the error did not occur. Checking the autodesk desktop app, I noticed an updatefor 2023.1 was pending to install.

Upgrading to Revit 2023.1.6 fixed the issue.

simply upgrade to:

23.1.60.36
20241107_1515(x64)
2023.1.6
