REVIT Custom Diffuser/GRD Tag Stretch

Somewhat new to customization in REVIT and I'm looking to create a family Diffuser Tag that in the drawing I can specify the size and it will adjust the block equal right and left (centered), similar to how a dynamic block behaves in ACAD. Currently if I adjust the length in the working environment it adjusts the block to the right only and doesn't keep the text centered (stays aligned to the left). I don't see an option to correct this. Thanks!

You have run into a limitation of the current versions of Autodesk Revit:

Currently you cannot align Text objects to other objects or set constraints for the geometry in this regard.

This limitation has been reported to Autodesk as a wish for product enhancement on the Revit Ideas Forum page here: 

Add ability to align text/labels to lines / reference planes

Please, vote for that enhancement request and feel free to encourage other users with the same issue to do so as well. Your participation on the Revit Ideas Forum will help our Product Team to prioritize incoming wishes for product enhancements. 

In your case with the tag family, it is probably best to draw a tag border, which considers possible text length in all scenarios.

Alternatively you can set a Border for the label in the tag family by selecting the label, going to "Edit Type" and activating the "Show Border" option.

I understand, that you hoped for better news, and I really wished to be able to provide you those.

Unfortunately there is indeed no really nice solution yet available for this challenge. 

We use the one available button to mark the post in such cases to point other users to the current state of things and in order to encourage other users with the same question/ challenge to vote for the logged enhancement request. 

I hope this helps to push the related wish for a product enhancement.
