All of a sudden none of our employees can make PDFs of a job. Revit just crashes when they try. Any ideas of what could be causing this? Revit 2017.2.

Thank you for posting the journal file. In the thread you mentioned this started happening all of a sudden.
What is the name of the problem sheet that you identified?
There are a several free pdf writers that you can try as a test. Here's one; CutePDF
If a different pdf writer still has the issue, you may be encountering a new problem.
Please send me an IM and we can have a screenshare session to collect more information.

If a different pdf writer still has the issue, you may be encountering a new problem. Other pdf writer failed as well.
Try printing to PDF with Docuflow.

Please upgrade your Revit release to the latest one. The first release has a bug in the API that makes Revit to crash when it prints to a virtual printer.

I am having the exact same problem and it is easy to reproduce.
Print multiple sheets to PDF (around 10). The print works. Model is not that complicated.
Then when I click back to the Revit screen it hangs. I have tried all of the recent and old suggestions from ctrl-p to emptying the temp folder to changing the preferences in pdf settings etcetera. Nothing works. Crash, crash crash.
The 'Reliability History' screen in Windows 10 indicates that this all started happening on November 10, 2020. Nothing before that time. It also indicates that 'Autodesk Infocentre' stopped working before the crash.
Is there a real solution to this problem? Printing to pdf is a critical part of the work flow.
Not a problem for everyone, therefore it cannot be easily reproduced. Have you tried a different PDF printer?
I think there is a problem with the revit files,
*Uninstall Revit from your computer.
*install a new revit (clean install)
I have tried a different pdf printer as well as other suggestions from this site and others. The problem seems to have started on November 10, 2020 and coincides with a windows update. I also noticed that there was an Autodesk update on the same day. Curiously, I cannot restore to this date and I cannot uninstall the updates.
It seems to be a common problem with the research I am doing. Do you know if there are any new suggestions?
Thanks in advance
you may have to print a lot of PDF check you have the minimum requirement for Revit or try another PC it may works
Hello,
Have you tried to turn off all your Add-ins? Mayby one of your add-ins is causing the problem.
