Hello,

while exporting a revit sheet to dwg, it exports with two files , 2D file and 3D file , to now it's ok , but when i send the two files to another colleague .. only 3D file shows for him ,the 2D file shows a message that  "he is an XREF and it belongs to the propriety of the sender ( which is me ) "

how can he ( my colleague ) be able to access the 2d file ?

the problem is in the paramater while exporting ?

when exporting Revit views to AutoCAD I typically only export the views.

set things to Export All properties BYLAYER NO Overrides

confirm your Export to File Format (version of AutoCAD being used by the client)

sync and save and relinquish your revit model prior to exporting

I set up my views to be exported and isolate them from the working / sheet views in my browser

uncheck Export views on sheets and links as External References.

this provides a cleaner AutoCAD file of only what the client needs.

now each floor plan or elevation is a stand alone cad file ready to deliver to the client, they typically use these in their environment as an Xreference.

this is just 1 approach that we have had success with
