Revit 2020 EnergyPlus alaysis export IDF file

Hi,

I am working with Revit 2020 and create an Energyplus analysis, the simulation run through and I get the energy report. Is there a way Revit and export the IDF file from its model this way I can use standalone EnergyPlus software to fine-tune the model? Thanks.

HI,

Yes you can export the IDF file from Autodesk insight by right click on your simulation model and export the energyplus icon.

Temporary folder is created by openstudi when you run system analysis in Revit. 

You can find simulation data including IDF file in following folder path,

C:/Users/*YOUR ACCOUNT*/AppData/Local/Temp/

The IDF file is saved in a randomly named folder in the path mentioned above.  Run an analysis and then find the correct folder by searching for the most recent date modified.  The IDF file is in the  'HVAC Systems Loads and Sizing/run' subfolder.
