Hi, I am trying to convert some pipes in revit into fabrication parts using CadMEP and the "Design to Fabrication" feature in revit. However, the elbows and fittings always get deleted and only straight pipes are getting converted over. How do I fix this problem? I have many pipe runs that need to be converted into fabrication parts and having a tool that can intelligently identify elbows is essential.

Are your fittings smaller than the fabrication parts? The ducts may be too long for the fittings after conversion.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Do you have access to your database? The reason why this is happening is because there is no code to say what is a bend within your database. If you have any of the fabrication products installed, open your configuration and right click on the bend your wanting the revit families to convert to and follow the instructions in the image.

If you have the default database that comes with fabrication, check the other items and apply the same button code.
