When creating a piping system in the real world, pipes come in measurements of feet or half foot Rivet employs fractions and so on how can I change the measurement of this. Also how can I get rivet to add automatic t joints or elbows for piping.

Thank you,

Revit allows you the options to modify /add /or remove sizes of most things

on the Ribbon find the Manage Tab / Mechanical Settings.

select the segment and define what Pipe type you want to modify the sizes of (Copper-K)

add and/or Remove the sizes for that segment type.

I recomend not deleting the default setting but create a new size for that segment

then in the project browser find Families- Pipes / Pipe Types right click on Default select type properties, select the EDIT button on Routing Preferences

select Pipe Segment Copper K note the settings for all the fittings in image below

while drawing the Pipes in plan if you change your Offset and select apply it will draw a verticle pipe to the offset elevation.

open a section and tile the 2 views so you can see this happening live
