Pipe reducer added where not required, as connector diameter and pipe OD are equal

I have a device which functions like a vacuum pump, it has sockets to connect pipe into.

The sockets I modelled as pipe connectors with flow going in, and diameter of connector 1-1/16". (See img1).

The pipe segment I'm trying to connect to it has an OD of 1-1/16" as well. (See img2).

When adding the pipe, Revit is automatically adding a reduction (See img3).

Apparently it is using the nominal size (3/4"), to pick a reducer, when IMHO it should use the real OD diameter of the pipe.

Or does this issue have anything to do with the direction of the flow of the connector?

How can I get Revit to not add a reducer between the connector and the pipe?

The connector in the pipe family will be the nominal size set in the pipe Segments & Sizes.

If you want to work with OD instead of nominal size then you need to edit the segments and sizes and to make the Nominal Size the same as the OD.

To edit the segments and sizes you need to create a new pipe size and delete or disable the old size - you can't (strangely) edit the existing sizes.

E.g. you would need to create a pipe with a Nominal size of 1-1/16th and an OD of that same value.

That works. It's not ideal because the nominal size is "named" (3/4" pipe). But the solution suits me.

Thank you!
