If you export the lookup table and open it in a spreadsheet editor you will, I assume, find that the 20mm size does not exist in the table.

You then need to create a row for the 20mm size, save and reload the lookup table.

If, however, this is a manufacturer's family then it might be that the 20mm size is not commercially available?

In the family types dialogue click on Manage Lookup Tables, then in the next dialogue select the table named and click to export it.

This will create a CSV file. Save it in a temporary location (you can delete it later).

Open the CSV file using a spreadsheet app.

You'll see something like this:

Add a row to the table and populate the values for the 20mm size fitting:

Save the file in CSV format.

Go back to Revit and in the Manage Lookup Tables dialogue import the revised CSV file and overwrite the previous version

20mm size fitting should now work.

As I said earlier though there is maybe a reason why there is not already a 20mm size included so it might be that the manufacturer does not sell that size?

You have to open the CSV file as a "delimited" or "separated" file and then choose Comma as the delimiter.

That will then put each entry into the correct columns - at the moment you have all of your data in one column in the spreadsheet.

When saving the file also make sure that you are saving it as a Comma Separated Value (CSV) format.

I downloaded your fitting family and exported the lookup table and this is what I get:-

iainsavage_0-1669648179184.png

There is no 20mm (3/4) size data row.

This is your CSV file:

The data appears to be corrupted.

I have attached the original CSV file (top image).

Open as a delimited file, add a row and populate the 20mm details, save as CSV and reload into your project.

Dear iainsavage I am grateful for your help. I updated and uploaded the CSV file, but I am getting the same error again. I wonder where I am going wrong :(.

Column A in your csv file contains incorrect entries - dates instead of pipe sizes?

Do you mean that you are still getting the error regarding the "the number of fields in row 2 doesn't match the headers"? Or is it some other error?

I didn't get any errors while editing the CSV format and importing it into the family. but I'm getting an error in family in the 3/4" and 1/2" lists.

I can't see the videos which you are posting so I'm going to take a guess here and assume that when you say the same error you mean the original error posted right at the top of the thread.

If that is the case then I think it will be due to an imperial-metric conversion in the family.

The original lookup table is in inches. Your family parameters and project are in millimetres.

The size_lookup formula will look for an exact match in the B column based on your nominal diameter value.

Your nominal diameter value in the project is 20mm but the nominal size in the lookup table is 19.05mm.

When I add a pipe size with 19.05mm nominal diameter to the pipe segment definition the 3/4" ("20mm") fitting works fine.

The 20mm size is "not found" so uses the default 2" fitting and issues the IsCustom warning.
