Pipe not visible at same elevation duct is and duct is visible

hello everyone, I'm new to revit and I'm just doing some practice models but as the title says when I'm trying to put some domestic hot water lines at 9' I cant see them in the view however I can see all of my duct work that is at 9'. I have tried messing with the view range and no matter if I make it 100' view range it still wont show the pipe unless I click over to 3d. I am assuming this is because I'm trying to lay this in the hvac mech floor plan view, however for what i model i will pretty much always be laying pipe and duct simultaneously. Is there any way to make a single view type that will allow me to do both in unison? thank you for your help in advance, and I apologize if this is a dumb question. like I said I'm new, less than 2 weeks new.

Usual culprits: visibility graphic settings - pipe turned off, filters applied to remove certain pipe types/systems, the pipe is on a workset that is turned off, the pipe was created in a different phase than the duct, the pipe is set to only be visible in medium/fine view resolution.

In your case, you probably just need to turn on pipe visibility in the visibility graphics dialog.  Hit vv on your keyboard.

Oh, and if the model categories are gray and uneditable in the V/G dialog, cancel out of it and remove set the view template to "none" in the view properties.

I went through and looked for the issue in the visibility graphics, phase, and discipline to see if I could find any reason that the pipe wouldn't show but I couldn't find any. I attached a snip to see if maybe you could see what I may be missing.

Check that filters tab in the VG dialog.
