Pipe Eccentric Reducer Problems Help!!

I'm at my wits end trying to understand what's going on with eccentric pipe reducers in revit!!! (and breath)

I simply want to route a pipe, place the ecc' red' and carry on, but every time I try it kick the pipes to funny angles in order to keep the center point of the two ends of the pipe at the same level (see attached) I've looked through other posts on this and nothing suggested seems to work, I 've tried it with several of the out the box UK families included in the install as well as making my own but keep getting the same results if some one could please point out what I'm doing wrong here I'd appreciate it.

Yeah thats always been an issue. One way to draw eccentric reducers is to align the top or bottom of your pipes and drag the pipe back. You will see a line appear, do not drag to the connector.

to piggyback on @craigjonnson .... use the Align tool from the Modify ribbon and TAB select the edge of the pipe if you want to line up the edge's vs the middle/bottom/top.

The suggestion that works for me (found it somewhere here on these revit forums) is:

Align the bottom or top of pipes in section view.

Set routing preferences to eccentric reducer family

Go back to plan view, drag pipes to connect.

This has worked for me every time.

A big thanks to all the above, I eventually managed to find a library part that would behave as above and took it from there, also very handy tip re the tab key a selecting edges of pipe as well as best practices. in case anyone else in future has the same issues the family I used in the end was the M_Transition - Welded - Generic one found in \Libraries\English\US\Pipe\Fittings\Generic
