phase mapping and visibility of linked model

 Hi everyone,

I am very much a noob with Revit, please bear with me.  I have a central model setup for MEP with a model linked from an architect.  The problem I'm having is that I need to turn off the demolition objects in the new work views, and vise versa.  I'm sure it's something simple thats being missed somewhere. Thank you in advance for any help.  I'm using REVIT 2015, by the way.

First thing to check is to make sure the Phasing of the architectural model matches yours in name and phase (Existing, New Construction, etc.). This is located on the Manage tab.  Then in the Properties of the view, set the Phasing of the view to New Construction. As long as the demolished objects were set to be demo'd in the New Construction phase, they will not show in your plan. Welcome to Revit!
