pc performance decrease while working in Revit by Windows file explorer continuous restarting/freezing

Hello, while working with Revit 2019.2 Windows file explorer begins to restart and freezing continuously ( eg. each 1 minute- 2 minutes period) and it decreases performance of my work terribly.

Has someone experienced this issue ?

I did already tried to completely (twice) reinstall windows pro 10 64-bit and afterwards install Microsoft Outlook and Revit,  I am still trying to find the issue but Revit 2019.2 on its own may cause that also (or possibly drivers of Radeon WX 3100 but i tried many variants of the drivers without solving issue.)problem still persists and I am desperate.

my computer: Windows Pro 10, 64bit ENGRadeon WX 3100 graphics, AMD Ryzen 7 2700  8-coremotherboard - ROG STRIX B450-E GAMING

Do you have any add-ons?

Rob

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

@MartinLucansky3580

This type of problem usually happens with computers with low RAM.

Take a look.

System requirements and recommendations for the Autodesk® Revit® 2019 product line.

Hope this helps.

Sergio, thank You for Your suggestion,

as far I have 16 gigs of RAM and visibly something like half of its usage during Revit use, i do not see this as an issue.

Sergio,

I had to be sure where the issue lays, so I rather boutght new RAM modules (now i have 2x16 GB),

In past i had "cached" RAM memory more than like "free"  (both are kinds of free memory) ..

in the moment i changed the RAM modules, i had most of times only "Free" memory.

that means RAM was not the cause.

I realized, this issue is somehow connected with the constantly restarting/freezing of the  "explorer.exe" process of File explorer. And this is somehow connected with HDDs I have connected to motherboard.

I disconnected the 6TB HDD from computer and the problem dissapeared (!) . Most probably is not the case the wrong HDD (it seems without errors or failures).

Now, after month running perfectly without issues only with one 1,4 TB HDD connected, the problem came back at the moment, when I swapped the name of HDD from H to D . simple change of the disks namings brought back the issue (so most probably that is connected with some connections to the route 😧  ) ... but i could not redo this operation (after putting namings back, the issue perists)

Of course, the problem dissapeared, when I switch off the second 1,4 TB HDD . But now I am without disks connected in my desktop  🙂
