outline box of my tags are disjointed when printed to pdf

I get a distortion of the border that I have modelled for the tag when its printed as a pdf.  I've tried different pdf drivers and get exactly the same result.  Some tags appear OK but others of the same family appear to have the outline disjointed (see below screen grab).  This is at 144dpi.  At 600dpi it is better, but there are still slight offsets between the lines and the arcs, and I get a file that is twice the size so I want to avoid that.  Has anyone come across this?

The background mask of the text label is extending through the lines.

Adjust the mask offset, or the spacing of the lines or make the label transparent.

(or maybe there’s a draw-order solution but I don’t know about that).

Thanks for the response Iain,

If I take the text  mask off, I still get an issue (see the SG/08 tag below).  The EG/08 tag has resolved itself correctly, as has the HRU/09 tag (which is a different family and still has the text mask).  However the SG/08 tag, which is the same family as the EG/08 tag and doesn't have the text mask, still has an issue.  With this being repeated multiple times across the layout, its a bit of an issue.

It was actually the HRU/09 tag that I was commenting on.

Can’t explain the other ones - can you upload the tag families and someone can try them in a test model?

Here are two examples.  The first one was done independently by a colleague in Revit 2018. 

The second (with the CamelCase naming convention) was done in Revit 2020.  Both get similar results when printing to pdf.  Is this a general issue with lozenge shapes in tags?   

Has anyone else experienced this?  If you use lozenge shapes in your tags, could you check your pdfs to see if you have the same?
