Objects Showing in plan and section, but can't select / delete

I have a bunch of duct fittings that just showed up in my Revit file today...I've been working in the file for 2 weeks and this is the first I've seen them. I can't select them in plan or section view to delete. When I export to Navis, in the selection tree, it's listing these items/fittings as duct insulation. How do I get rid of this in Revit?

If there is no duct associated with the insulation than those are ghost objects. You cannot select insulation therefore it cannot be deleted.

Your best option is to turn the category off project wide.

What version of revit is this?

Did you upgrade the project?

Is there worksharing?

Did you modify duct with the insulation category turned off?

Since you already have the list of those item, maybe you can try the following step:

1. create the duct insulation schedule

2. take the necessary parameter

3. find out those cannot select duct insulation

4. right click and delete that row

If the above steps are not helpful, maybe you can try another method:

1. go back to your floor plan

2. click the lighting icon on the btm tools bar

3. display those hidden items

4. if some duct appear inside of those insulation, select the duct, choose remove duct insulation

Hope those are useful for u.

I had one floating insulation piece, created the schedule, found the piece and deleted it. Hoever where that floater was there is still a disconnected error on either side of the now non-existent piece. Is there a way to get rid of that? Thanks!
