No fitting between the rigid and flexible pipe

Hi

When a rigid pipe is connected to a rigid pipe of the same size, but different pipe series Revit creates a fitting (union).  This is logical and expected behaviour.
But when a flexible and a rigid pipe are connected, Revit doesn't create a fitting between them.  Does someone know why Revit behaves like this?

Another issue is that if I connect a flexible pipe series to different flexible pipes series, Revit combines these two pipes as one flexible pipe without creating a fitting. I guess this question is mostly academical, but since I ask also this since these issues are most likely related.

I guess the thinking behind this is that flexible pipe can slide over a fixed pipe and not really need a fitting.

Really? That's not even acceptable for gravity drainage. Not a good guess.

There is always a fitting between a flexible and rigid pipe. So this is not the reason.

I guess that Autodesk hasn't really invested any effort to improve the flexible pipes (nor ducts) and they are only somekind of "detail lines" in the project.  I find this somewhat strange since they are speaking about models and fabrication parts and at the same time the flexible products are so bad. That being said, I kind of understand this since the flexible products are bulk products and doesn't really need a detailed product model. However, I would expect some improvement.

It's amazing how many people foolishly believe that Revit is capable of doing everything and blame Autodesk for not implementing needed tools like they just need to flip the switch.

I understand your disappointment but I think this is a subject more technich than software inappropriate functioning.

The native flexible pipes family in Revit doesn't work and it's very hard to work in it.

I mean, I have familys that were criated and this situation is resolved but were criated for brasilian market.

Not everything is lost.
