Yes they are if you make them “Shared”.
Also when due to the fact that the unshared family is nested. Replace removing the unshared version from the parent family then reuploading the shared version in.
Deleting is unnecessary. Just edit and reload.
I am having a similar issue. Rvt24
I have a nested family (Fascia Profile) in a parent family (Canopy). I have a parameter in the fascia family called Fascia Height. It is a shared parameter and an instance parameter.
when I nest it in the canopy family I can't associate it to the canopy family and I don't see it in the list of instance parameters when I click on the family.
I have a shared parameter called Fascia Height in the host family but it is not associated to the nested one and I don't see how I can do that as there isn't the = button available.
Can you share your family files because I need to see the way they are being setup in more detail.
