Multiple ies files??

I have created a light fixture that has multiple bulbs in it and would like to know if there is a way to insert or copy multiple ies files so I can place the file at each bulb.  Is this possible??  

I created the light fixture, then I upload the ies file.  I place the light source in the middle of the fixture but I get a message that it will not emit the light properly because the sight source is in the fixture now.  I would like to have an accurate rendering but will need to apply the light source at each bulb.

Have you tried to nest (insert) another light fixture family into the main light fixture family? I have had to do this when using a lighting calculation program before and it worked successfully (for calculations, not renderings)
