MEP system calculation, simulation and analysis

First of all, I would like to know if BIM/revit can support MEP calculation such as pressure loss, pipe size, the flow rate for plumbing and sanitary system, the resistance value calculation for lightning and earthing system. 

Since I am doing the modelling for MEP system of the entire building, I would rather extract calculation and result from BIM instead of doing manual calculation or simulation from other software.

If the mentioned calculation could be done, please share the ways to do it.

If I need to add other add on software, I am willing to do so also.

Revit can do calculations but they are limited and not as robust as 3rd party solutions.

Depending on your needs, it's probably best to go with software designed for doing this.

I agree with @RobDraw though, they work but they’re not as sophisticated as other programmes. Good enough for system sizing etc but not for detailed analyisis.
