MEP Accessories Family: piping diameter not adapting

Hi,

I am using a family to model a piping system. The point is that this family has diameters where to connect pipes. These diameters are not adaptive. So, if I change the pipe diameter, the diameter in the will not be changed autoamtically. I attach a few pic.

I don't think an item like that is supposed to adapt per instance. I would think a different type would be the way to go as they would be different parts to the manufacturer but it could be done with instance parameters if you wanted to change them on the fly.
