LOD 350 VS LOD 400 OR UP

Hi, My name is Paulina.

I am developing an electrical project in LOD350. The client asked me add to the model conduit fittings like (UNION). I need to know if this type of fittings correspond to LOD 350 or LOD400 or upper.

Thank you very much for any answer.

With LOD I always will discuss with the client. My experience is that many people have different interpretations/expectations of the different LOD levels. This is because there is not a real LOD standard. Original LOD definition was really vague.

Therefore I often use the document from BIMForum. The nice thing is they have described lots of components including pictures which helps in discussions with different parties. See page 187 of the PDF (LOD 2021).

Hi!

Form my knowledge for LOD350 or LOD400  you can the normal conduit fitting without material depends upon client. If your apply the material and the data for the conduit it will be useful for LOD500 while your doing it.

As of now I am doing the same for my project to reduce my work in LOD500 with the client notice.

If this solution is OK , please ACCEPT SOLUTION. If your having further doubts let us know

Thanks and Regards,

JAIGANESH GV
