Dear,
This is the default settings when you are using MEP templates because the discipline is plumbing or Mechanical or plumbing.The architectural and structural elements will not deal as basic elements.to see all elements without any underlay or halftone.you have to change your discipline to Coordination.This is a straight forward way,there are some other ways like controlling the underlay settings
