Linked files and Visibility defaults

I am wondering if anyone knows of a way to make the visibility of any linked file to be set to off by default?

Are there visibility settings that can be controlled before the import takes place.

There needs to be a link in place in order for the settings to be available. I have a dummy architectural link in my project template and use reload from to transfer the settings. Applying this to prepare more than a few links settings can get hard to manage pretty quickly though.

Agreed, it starts to get a little hectic when you need to import ref models after you have many views already in working.
