Lighting Fixture not producing light

I might be missing something, but when adding a light fixture to a circuit, and then adding a switch to the same light fixture, Revit allows you to set the light switch to a different circuit?  That would not be physically possible in the real world.  Am I missing something in Revit to prevent it from doing this?  It appears Revit allows you to connect the light and light switch to two different circuits.

Hello,

You are right, this can happen, this is the normal behaviour for Revit so far.

Hi @rkernPBQSM,

Yes, the switch system is independent of lighting circuits and wiring. See: Creating a Switch System

Is this on a list for Revit to correct or prevent from happening in future releases?

Hi @rkernPBQSM,

At this time, I'm not sure whether or not it is. However, it could be a good candidate for our Revit Ideas board. This is where customers post product improvement ideas and other Revit Professionals in the community can vote them up. Developers review these ideas for improvement for future releases.

Thank you!
