Lighting Device: Junction Box vs Electrical Fixture: Junction Box?

Can someone explain the functional difference (i.e. different hard-coded parameters, circuit behavior, etc.) between Lighting Device Junction Boxes and Electrical Fixture Junction Boxes? How does each interact with circuit and switch systems?

Thanks

They function the same... you will have visibility differences between the two depending on how you show your elements in your views.

Part type is a property of a particular template, you can choose/define junction box as a lighting devices or electrical fixture. Same as if you select Electrical equipment template then you will see that there are different part types like, panelboard,  transformer (it is also an electrical equipment) etc. it defines that the type of equipment or fixture, a same template can used in multiple options.

Thanks for the thorough reply. Still kind of confused though:

Why create duplicate Part Types in the Electrical Fixture family template and the Lighting Device family template?

Is this just for easy visibility/filter control?

Also, what electrical data do these Part Types inherit?

Part type defines in which purpose you are going to used the particular family, like if you are choosing the pipe fitting template then will see that the part type like elbow, tee, flange, from that you can also set that particular family behavior in routing preference, means this particular template/family will be going to used for elbow or tee. And for electrical it is mainly used at the time of system connection.
