Lighting circuits doubt / Panel Board (ENG /ESP)

Hello

I have a doubt regarding the lighting circuits and how to put more than one (Kitchen, bedrooms,...) in the same breaker. So far, I only know how to put in the same breaker if I put all the lights in the same circuit. It is possible to have 2-3 or more circuits with the same breaker/way in the panel board?

Thank you so much

Hola

i don't believe so. you can make them both on the same circuit in Revit and cal the circuit Kitchen/Bedroom. But i'm pretty sure you can not have 2 different circuits and assign them to one breaker.

So, basically if I want to show what it is in every real circuit, probably I need to do by annotations/detail lines?

Thank you for the answer

are you using 2020.2? if so, have you tried using the Edit Path tool to redefine the path of the circuit to show them separated, looking like 2 loops? if that's the intent....

I am using 2018.3 , but eventually we will jump on 2019 or 2020 (I hope so)

Thank you so much, I will try the Edit Path by my own 🙂

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't one circuit breaker = one circuit.

I believe the way it would be built is to tie the "loops" for each room to a junction box and power the junction box from the panel.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Hmmmmm, interesting option.... you can have the Junction Box as part of a circuit, but i'm not sue you can tie a setup circuit into a junction box. worth a try though.... 🙂

It's been a long time since I did electrical but the Revit Mantra is "Model it how it's built." So, I would start there.

So True... i tell my staff that all the time.

I talked to my electrical Guru who commented that in the filed, they may be 2 loops, but there still tieing together and going to the same breaker, so there the same "circuit".

if you want to try this.... in the Junction Box family

  • add 3 connectors (or more...)
  • load them into the project

in the project file:

  • each connector can then be made into a circuit with multiple receptacles and such.
  • then use one unused connector to connect to the Panel

i don't think all the electrical information will get pulled to the panel though from the 2 circuits connected to the Junction Box.

It is not possible to do this.

In the UK we would see this as a bit naughty! haha
