Keyboard Shortcuts Resetting

I am on Revit 2022 and my keyboard shortcuts keep resetting to default. Is anyone else having this issue? My designers are also running into the same issue. This is only on 2022 that we are experiencing this. I have to keep reloading my keyboard shortcuts and then after any given time, it resets to default.

It should be reading your shortcuts from the file keyboardshortcuts.xml in this location

%APPDATA%\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit 2022

Maybe something on your system is deleting or overwriting this file?

I am running into the same issue. I don't understand why it resets, it does so every couple days or so. Very frustrating to have to re-enter your custom keyboard shortcuts all the time. Hoping that this issue gets addressed sooner rather than later.

Check that the file which I directed you to is the same version and isn't being overwritten somehow. Look at the date and time stamps, file size etc.

You can also read the contents of the file to check if its the correct version.

You can keep a backup copy of the file and use it to replace your corrupted file if the problem recurs - you don't need to re-create the shortcuts each time. You can also copy the file from a different version of Revit because it is not version dependent.

If it is being overwritten then I doubt if its Revit which is doing that since it is, essentially, an external file and not part of the Revit programme.

I wonder why that file would be overwritten. Could you post the file path to get to the KeyboardShortcuts.xml? I am having trouble locating it.

Per part 2 above copy this into the windows search or the title bar in file explorer.

%APPDATA%\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit 2022

Assuming its version 2022 that you are using.
