Join Filled Regions or Detail Lines to Family Face

Is there a way to join filled regions or even line work drawn on the face of family to that face? Specifically, When I adjust the length of an extrusion, the filled region does not adjust with it which I want it to.

Create a reference plane and name it.

Make that reference plane the current work plane.

Create the region on the plane.

Associate the offset of the plane with a dimension related to the length or width or height of the family (I would create a new parameter and use a formula to add maybe 1mm so that the plane sits slightly beyond the face so that it will be visible in hidden views).

Ignore that - I thought you were trying to move a region that is aligned on the face.

Now that I look at your screenshots I see that isn't what you want.

To do what you wants you can associate dimensions with the sketch lines in the region boundary editing mode:
