Issue with Ceiling Speaker Configuration in Lighting Plan

Hello All. 

I have a question about this equipment, which is a speaker installed in the ceiling. As you can see in the next picture, I am unable to select it in the lighting plan. Additionally, it appears in a lighter color. The second picture shows how this equipment is installed in the ceiling, similar to the lighting fixtures. Is there a configuration that I am missing?

Can it be because the lighting fixture has not an assosiated host?

If you change discipline to coordination can you select it?  Open the family in the family editor and see what category the family is assigned.  This should tell you what category to override in you view to get visibility to your liking... quick & dirty would be to change the family category to light fixture but I wouldn't recommend this route.

Enable Select Underlay Elements.

I am not clear why you prefer Changing the view discipline over Enable Select Underlay Elements.  Do you want to keep changing discipline back and forth every time you need to select those and similar items (they are underlay elements)?
