Hi,

In some cases it would be good to, in a game-like manner, be able to float and navigate around and through objects in a model to investigate certain points. Creating multiple views from various angles is not really efficient and with the 3D view I can't go though elements, just zoom very deeply into them.

With the walk tool I can essentially move like I want to and go through objects, in one level, but looking up down is not as easy and holding the mouse constantly is not pleasant.

Enscape seems to have some WASD+mouse movability, which seems to be what I'd like to use in terms of how moving around works, but it is perhaps not otherwise the tool to investigate a MEP-model.

Does anyone have any suggestions regarding workflows or addins with which this perhaps could be achieved?

Have you tried https://viewer.autodesk.com/ ?

It's free online tool to view Autodesk files and has tool 'First Person' which is good to walk through.

I use a 3d mouse. This seems to help and it is really easy to use once you get adjusted to it.

Enscape, Revizto and Fuzor are all 3rd Party companies that provide a way to to examine a model side by side with your work in Revit.

I feel your pain... I export to .NWC from Revit and do my walk-throughs for coordination in Navisworks.  There is a free Navisworks viewer anyone can download and use.
