Hi @Chonghyuk.Lee,

Thanks for your instant reply.

It's interesting. But, the reason I ask is, I need to apply this line type to a piping system, it it possible to do?
For e.g. Chilled Water Supply Pipe, I want to show in a single line with the text "CHWS"

Is it possible to do?

Hi @Radish_G,

Unfortunately, that is not possible in Revit. I can understand that the idea of doing this workflow but I am afraid to say that line pattern is system family so that we can't do much.

The solution is still not a line. The need is to draw lines with text and behaves like a line inside Revit.

It can't be done. The Revit way of doing it is by using tags.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

When I create this text line, the text shows as masking over the line. However, when I print, the line shows through the text. How do I fix it so it prints with the mask?

Was having the same issue while trying to create a text line.  Was able to add a masking region behind the text in the text family within the detail family and it reads correctly when printed now.
