How to show the void forms in plans to edit?

I cannot edit it, because I cannot see it. I have done two of void sweep..

• do a fence select of the are the void should be (fence the whole area)
• use the Filter tool from the selection ribbon
• pick Check None
• the only pick the (Void) option
• pick OK

The void should now be selected. 

Another option is to place your cursor on a edge of the void (where the void is cutting the solid) and Tab until it highlights. 

either way... I usually find I have better luck in a 3D view than a plan view.....
