How to eliminate neutral from wire size in panel schedule

Hi all,

I am trying to create a new panel schedule template that shows wire sizes. This I accomplished. The problem is to not have a neutral show in the wire size column for a load in which I do not want a neutral. I created a new type of wire that didn't include the neutral and used that wire, but it still shows up in the wire size column in my panel schedule. I have read multiple forums but can't seem to get any help so far.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello,

In the wire types, in the electrical settings, uncheck the column Neutral required.

Go to electrical setting>wiring types>neutral required unchecked.

Hope this will work.

That is what I did. I assumed I could just change the wire type to the new type but that is not the case. I had to completely delete everything on the circuit and then put it all back in. After I assigned the devices to a panel I then chose the new wire type and now there is no neutral. So simply changing the type of wire on an existing circuit will not get rid of the neutral.

Hello,

Unfortunally some settings are done only when you create the components or circuits.

I know this is an old Topic, but the other thing to change is the electrical connector of the family that is connected to the circuits:

The system type of the connector needs to be: Power - Unbalanced

So you need these two things :

Electrical Connector of type : Power - Unbalanced

Wire type that doesnt requires a neutral.

Then and only then will the neutral wire be removed from the circuit.
