How to create a new tick mark for dimension?

I want to change tick mark like as i shown in the attachment.

But it is not possible for me to create new or edit the existing tick marks.

Can anybody help me with this.

Dimensions in Revit are system families. You can modify a dimension style and choose another tickmark (Annotate > ... Dimension Types).

You can choose from the existing tick marks, you can not create your own.

Have you looked in Manage > Additional Settings > Arrowhead ?

my architecture tick marks are at an angle, i can't straighten them. help.

select you dimension_edit type_change tick mark to "NONE"   See screenshot below to see how it will look with tick mark set to "NONE".

i did as you said but i didn't get the line, i had actually no tick mark, just a line  ----24--------        and a number.

as one might expect what ' no tickmark ' would mean, but, thank you, i suppose,

How did you get the 1.5mm Diagonal? for me, the only option is 3mm diagonal?

Duplicate the existing tick mark, then change the tick size

From your post I thought maybe something had been changed in recent releases to allow this behaviour but it hasn't.

As far as I can see the only option is still to duplicate an existing symbol and change the size of it (and in the case of arrows you can change the angle), but you can't create your own custom symbols.

Or have you found a way to do it?
