Hi! I am BIM Engineer and I am working on Facility Management Model for one of my project. I have populated the COBIE paramters by BIM Interoperability Tools addins but when I update the data it can not auto feed the COBIE.Type Data (COBIE.Type.Length,Width,Size etc) How to auto feed this data. Thank you.

The COBie Extension does not automatically populate the data related to size (or items that Revit would never know like warranty date).

The size values are problematic because there are so many different ways you would measure the size of a Revit component and ever firm or even each different component could be using different parameters. It would be impossible to programmatically determine a method to get all different element's sizes consistently and correctly.

If you have a consistent set of parameters in your content, you can always use Parameter Mapping and point to those parameters.

Can i know, based on what the Cobie category data of an element to be filled? when i checked a sample spreadsheet , i could see that the there is some code along with the category mentioned. Which classification is that? where should i refer to get that classification of each element in my project?
